Lisa Dinnie

Australia-Pacific Regional Co-Director

Cherish Your Sleep, of which I am the founder, was started in 2014.  I have come from the Early Childhood background  – having qualified when I was 19. I spent upwards of 15 years working with only babies and toddlers, before moving Ito a more managerial role within the Early Childhood Sector here in Australia.

I met and married my husband and we had three children in three years, busy but rewarding. When my youngest was just 9 months old, I started studying to be a Sleep consultant, and hence Cherish your Sleep was founded.

I have continued to upskill throughout the years, with my approach focusing on emotional wellness along with foundational work.  6 years in, I still love my job, working with a no one size fits all approach and tailoring it to the many differing needs of the families that I work with.

Elaine Harvey

Australia-Pacific Regional Co-Director

Hi, I’m Elaine Harvey, wife, mum, and the founder of Lullababy SOS. I’m an Early Childhood Educator and a Certified Paediatric Sleep Consultant. Elaine helps mums and dads with all things baby and Toddler related with a special focus on sleep, settling and routine. She started out as a Night Nanny and Maternity Nurse in London 20 years ago, and after moving to Australia 2007 she established Lullababy SOS to help parents who were struggling with knowing how to help their babies and toddlers with their sleep and routine.

Elaine’s approach is not based on the standard settling methods but focus’ more on helping parents understand their child’s needs, sleep science, routine structure and what they the parents may be doing to help or hinder progress.

Elaine’s goal is the help parents know that you are not alone; you’re not supposed to have all the answers and you’re not supposed to know how to manage every situation every day.

For every problem, there are many solutions some that will work for you and some that won’t. My goal first and foremost is to help parents understand how they have everything they need to help their little ones grow and develop, the just need to focus on whats right for them. Elaine shows parents how to breakdown the overwhelm with a healthy routine, understand sleep science and making small changes that make a HUGE difference so they can find their confidence in their parenting power. She creates a holistic settling plan where parents are SUPPORTING their little one though the changes so as they learn the new skill with confidence and support, parents can gradually reduce support to achieve independent settling.

Since establishing Lullababy SOS she has worked with over 10,0000 families, both in Australia and globally. Over this time, Elaine has seen how parenting has changed. Parents now have access to more information and resources about Early Childhood development than ever before, but sadly they seem to be more confused than ever. Babies, unfortunately, don’t come with a manual, and everyday parents are searching the internet for that little nugget that will finally help them. They are putting pressure on themselves and feel the pressure externally to have all the answers.

Parenting is a journey, and each day what you learn can change your perspective, build your confidence, or erode it away. My goal is to build you up.

Kate Himsworth

Bermuda & The Caribbeans Regional Director

Katie Himsworth, is the Regional Director for Bermuda & The Caribbeans here at the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants.  She unknowingly started off her career supporting families when she was in University in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked as a Night Nanny and the little boy she was caring for was having troubles getting to sleep and waking up. She was able to see what the issues were and asked his Mum if she could make a few changes to the routine and to how she would respond to him at night. They discussed the changes that needed to be made and the approach with which to make changes she felt best suited him.

Five nights later he was sleeping through the night. And from there, her business and education grew. Supporting women and their babies has always been her passion. She is a certified Birth Doula as well as a
Certified Child Sleep consultant. She has worked with families all around the world over the past 20 years.Every day is different and every family she works with teaches her something about
life she didn’t know.

She lives in her home country of Bermuda with her husband and younger two boys who are now 6 and 7. Her older two boys, now in their mid-twenties, are still in Canada.  She is amazed to be back home working with women on the island and making a difference in her community. Having been away for over 20 years, the island has changed. What hasn’t changed is the need families have for healthy sleep habits and empathetic support. She is so happy to be able to offer this service, not only here at home in Bermuda but also throughout the Caribbean.
