APSC Membership

Thank you for your interest in the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants (APSC)!

We are a strong community of sleep consulting professionals who share a desire to collaborate and support one another, promote professionalism in our fast-growing field, and enhance the quality of service we offer our clients.

By joining the APSC as a Professional Member you will have access to a wealth of resources and to our global network of Professional Sleep Consultants. In addition to receiving industry updates and news, you will also be granted professional use of the APSC logo and have access to our private groups, educational forums, and newsletters. Another valuable benefit to our members is the exposure they gain for their businesses by being listed on the APSC website’s “Find A Consultant” page – a place where clients and consultants easily connect.

Requirements for professional membership

Completion of an approved program; OR
Minimum of two years of experience working as a Professional Sleep Consultant with a minimum of 500 hours of consulting experience.

Please note, once you make your payment you will be emailed an application within 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS.  Applications will be emailed to the email address that your selected to make your Paypal payment!

2023 Membership Renewal

To renew your membership, please click the button below and remit payment of $120. If you have received an email about prorated membership renewal, please select “prorated membership renewal” for $60. Thank you!

Requirements

  • Agree to and abide by our Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice
  • Complete and submit an application for membership.
  • Submit a photo.
  • One professional reference from a client for which you have completed consultation work.
  • One professional reference from another sleep consultant, professional colleague or a professional organization.
  • Participate in a phone interview.
  • Have an established professional and functional business website that includes a complete list and description of services, pricing, contact information, and professional branding &/or logo.

*Please review all the above requirements before making your payment. In the event that you apply for membership and you have not met the above requirements, the application fee is non-refundable. The APSC Executive Board will review and accept candidates based on their application, the candidate’s education, experiences, and phone interview. Applicants have 6 months, from the date of receiving the application packet to submit their completed application and complete the application process. After 6 months, the applicant will need to reapply, repaying all fees. Please be aware that application packets are sent to the email address that the Paypal payment was made through.

Once a member completes their application they will receive an email. The applicant will be asked to schedule a phone interview with a member of the APSC’s leadership team. Once this interview has been completed the applicant will receive an email letting them know that their membership has been approved. This email will give the new member information for joining our private & public Facebook pages, monthly members meetings, APSC website membership, the APSC logo and other membership benefits. The use of the APSC’s logo is only for approved and current APSC members. Improper use of our logo could result in ineligibility for current and future membership.

Application Fee: $50 – Covers overhead and administrative costs in reviewing your application, your qualifications and conducting personal entrance interviews.

Yearly Membership Fee: $120 – Covers overhead and administrative costs in addition to member benefits and opportunities. Benefits include monthly membership meeting with international connections, monthly meetings of quality professional information to help you grow your business, private facebook group to connect and support you, a quarterly newsletter, Regional meetings with other Professional Sleep Consultants, Discounts of services, Use of the APSC logo, Access to APSC’s Continued Education at a member’s discount, as well as other benefits.

APSC associate membership

It is part of our mission statement to provide “Support” for Professional Sleep Consultants. If you are a Professional Sleep Consultant but you have not met our membership requirements you can apply for an “Associate Membership.”

Requirements

If you would like to join the APSC as an “Associate Member”, please make sure you meet the following requirements.

  • Complete 1 year of experience as a professional sleep consultant and a minimum of 250 hours.
  • Pay the application fee ($50.00) and the first year of membership dues ($75.00)
  • Your application will be sent to the email that you made your Paypal payment.
  • Applicants have 6 months from the time of purchase to complete the application process.
  • Associate Members will receive all of the APSC Member’s benefits except for use of the APSC’s logo and they will not be listed on the APSC’s website.
  • The Associate Member has one year to meet the requirements for standard APSC membership. They must then, re-apply as a new member of the APSC.
  • Associate Membership will only be granted as a one-time membership for a term of 1 year. Associate Membership are not able to renew their membership without applying for full membership.

We feel that it is our responsibilities to support Sleep Consultants as they gain their experience. However, we also want to maintain our level of requirements so that the APSC is known as an Association of high standards. We are a strong community of sleep consulting professionals who share a desire to collaborate and support one another, promote professionalism in our fast-growing field, and enhance the quality of service we offer our clients. How to apply for an association membership

  • Access the “Associate Membership Application” by paying for the application fee ($50.00) and the first year of membership dues ($75.00). See the link below.
